Katherine Walden – Christian Author & Prophetic Voice

 

Katherine Walden is a Spirit-filled Christian author, prophetic voice, and online leader based in Alberta, Canada. She equips and encourages believers worldwide through social media and website ministry, prophetic mentoring, and Christ-centred teaching. Despite living with Charcot Marie Tooth Disease, she continues to serve the Body of Christ with bold faith and a strong prophetic voice.

About Me

Hi, I’m Katherine or Kath.

I’m a Canadian writer, teacher, and prophetic voice. I’ve been serving in ministry since 1981, when I joined Youth With A Mission (YWAM). I served internationally with them until 1995. In my final years with YWAM, I began to sense a shift was coming as disability began to affect my ability to travel. I started exploring the potential of online ministry—and I’ve been using the internet as a tool for ministry ever since 1992.

I am disabled and yet God uses me to heal, and that’s my utter joy!

I live with a neurological condition called Charcot-Marie-Tooth, which affects my mobility. I use a walker and wear leg braces, but that hasn’t stopped me from continuing in full-time ministry with joy and purpose. I’ve published three books (available on Amazon), and over the years, I’ve been overjoyed to witness dozens of people completely healed as I partnered with God in prayer. I’ve also seen Him begin deep healing in the bodies, minds, and spirits of those who encounter His presence.

I am prophetic; most of my writings come from that prophetic place within me.

Through my own ministry, I often lead intimate, powerful international prophetic groups, where I help others grow in their identity, gifts, and confidence in hearing God’s voice. I love mentoring people and creating space for them to discover how God wants to partner with them.

My home church is the online ministry of a physical church.

In addition to my personal ministry, I serve as a volunteer with Bethel Church Redding Online in multiple ways. I completed all three years of BSSM Online and graduated in 2023 as part of the pioneer class.

I believe community and mutual accountability are integral to a healthy Christian walk.

I was part of a local body within the Vineyard Canada stream for many years, and now I consider Bethel Redding my home church.  I continue to be accountable and mentored by mature brothers and sisters in Christ, as well as Bethel leadership, as I volunteer under their platform.

Everything I do flows from one unshakable truth: God is always good, and our future is not one of doom and gloom. I believe God is moving powerfully across the earth to draw all people into His love and transform them into who they were always meant to be.

It all boils down to this:

I hold fast to the foundations of my faith:
– Salvation is found only through Jesus Christ.
– I believe in His virgin birth, sinless life, physical death on the cross for my sins, and His bodily resurrection. I believe the Cross and Resurrection not only brings the power to save, but to heal, deliver, and restore all people to all God intended them to be.
– I worship the Triune God—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

I’m not a Cessationist. While I honour those who are, I’ve experienced the Holy Spirit’s power too personally ever to doubt His ongoing work in signs, wonders, healing, and prophetic ministry. The Church is alive, and the Spirit is still speaking.

What This Website Is All About

This site is home to my devotional blogs and prayer-based articles—created to help believers grow in their faith, find deeper connection with Jesus, and walk in hope and purpose. I write with honesty, joy, and a desire to strengthen the Body of Christ as God continues to move powerfully in our midst.

Mission Statement

As of August 2025. The DCQ website is no longer active. Time constraints and a tight budget no longer afforded me the luxury of keeping the archived site. I did, however, save all the quotes and there is a good chance one or two will appear in future blogs.

Weekly Email Devotional

Each week, I send out a short devotional. This list is used solely for encouragement—never for promotions or advertising.

Prayer Helps

This prayer area is one of the most visited areas of my website. Many come to deepen their intimacy with God or to become more effective in intercession. Churches and small groups have used these resources to equip prayer warriors around the world—what an honour to serve them.
