Disability is Not a Lesson Sent by God

Posted on November 18, 2025November 18, 2025by Katherine Walden
Close-up of a woman’s hands resting on a walker indoors, representing living with disability while trusting in the goodness of God.

My disability is not a lesson sent by God There is a less than helpful belief that still shows up in church spaces, spoken or unspoken: that God sends disability, sickness, or hardship to teach us a lesson. It might sound spiritual on the surface, but underneath it paints God as an abusive parent. That […]

Is God Still Good?

Posted on May 27, 2025May 29, 2025by Katherine Walden
Is God Still Good? Yes! There is an ocean of God's love always available in all circumstances we face.

This Easter Weekend, Don’t Rush Past Silent Saturday

Posted on April 7, 2023April 8, 2023by Katherine Walden
This Easter Weekend, pause and reflect, don't rush headlong into Resurrection Sunday

Posted on March 24, 2018March 24, 2018by Katherine Walden
Please do, continue to use verse 11 to motivate you to reach whatever goal that might be before you. But also take this verse to heart that when hardships, and struggles, and want, and lack, and suffering come your way, that you too can do all those things and go through all those things through Christ who will strengthen you.

Philippians 4:13 is a wonderful go-to motivational verse to use as you work towards a future goal. However, when the verse is read in context with the rest of Philippians 4, you will see Paul was not just talking about reaching lofty goals. Video Transcript: Hi there, and welcome back to Daily Bible Promises with […]
