September 3, 2025 — It’s a good day because God is good.

Welcome to On the Fly with Kath. Real-time thoughts for everyday faith. Short, honest, and in the moment.

God Never Rushes

Life feels full right now. I’m tempted at times to rush and pile too much on my plate. But God never hurries. He’s never anxious. He always knows what He’s doing. That’s why this quote from Bob Goff feels right for today. If you’ve never read his books, I can’t recommend them enough. They’re creative, engaging, and always stretching.

“The chemistry of God’s love and our creativity work together when combined. No reservoir can hold it, no disappointment can stop it, and no impediment can contain it. It can’t be waved off, put off, or shut down. It doesn’t take no for an answer. Instead it assumes yes is the answer even when it sounds an awful lot like a no to everyone else.” – Bob Goff

God’s Yes Is an Invitation

Scripture tells us all God’s promises are “yes and amen.” Sometimes His yes isn’t just permission—it’s an invitation. When God nudges us, when He stirs us toward something that brings joy, helps others, and lines up with His character, it’s a yes worth stepping into.

Unless God clearly says no, take His yes as your cue to step forward. If you’re not sure, pause and ask, “Lord, do You think this is a good idea?” Then wait. If the answer reflects His nature, treat it as a yes—and go have an adventure with Him today.

What is “On the Fly”?

On the Fly with Kath is a series of spontaneous reflections—real-time thoughts for everyday faith. These posts aren’t polished essays, but honest encouragements shared as they come. They’re reminders that God meets us right where we are, in the middle of ordinary life.
